The Hopi Indians lived in Arizona. For their homes they built Adobe Houses, it kept them cool in warm weather. Their agriculture was tough because of all the hot weather. They got through with the technique of burying their crops deeper down so they would absorb more water and grow. They grew corn, squash, etc.
Clothing and Tools
The Hopi men wore short kilts (men skirts) made with breechclothes. Women wore knee length cotton dresses called mantas. On special occations painted the deerskin moccasins white. For tools they used spindales to sew and pump drills to water crops. When men went hunting they used arrows and spears. They also used these tools in wars.
Women were in charge of homes and families. Men were in charge of politics and war. All of their people were skillful horse riders.
Some facts about Hopi indians are that they have their own language, Hopi means peaceful and tradition is to tell stories.
